While they are not professionals, and you will need to be there to watch them pack and load things, they can do the heavy work for you. You may also decide to do the packing yourself, giving you the chance to go through things and get rid of anything you no longer need or want, and then pay to have someone do the loading. The important thing is to get started early. Get quotes so you can make the best choice. Start packing, or going through your things well in advance of the move. Figure out how you are going to get to the new location too. If you will be driving, you can take some of your belongings with you.
